Early Start Nutrition Award Silver

Sign up to the Early Start Nutrition Award Silver – Achieving Best Practice to showcase how:

  • your provision is providing healthy, balanced and nutritious food and drink
  • your setting is offering a nutrition provision that meets the EYFS framework, Ofsted and Eat Better Start Better food and drink guidelines
  • you’re achieving positive health and well-being outcomes for children and families

Content

By signing up to the award you will receive access to a nutrition audit tool allowing your setting to showcase how you are achieving nutrition best practice in your setting. You will receive tailored feedback and recommendations from a team of expert nutrition professionals.

Judgement

Once you submit your Award it will be assigned to one of our registered nutritionist for review. Your early years setting will need to submit information about your:

  • setting and how the Early Start Nutrition Bronze Award has helped to improve health and well-being outcomes
  • current menu and food policy and how children are supported at mealtimes
  • learning from nutrition training and application in your setting
  • goals, set in the Bronze award, have been achieved

Award

You will receive a certificate of achievement, a plaque and the Silver award logo to use on your settings publicity. The award will be valid for one year after which you will be able to progress to the Gold Award application.
