Sign up to the Gold Award – Excelling in Best Practice to:

• ensure your nutrition provision is healthy, balanced and nutritious, meeting the EYFS framework, Ofsted and Eat Better Start Better food and drink guidelines
• showcase a workforce skilled in understanding the key nutrition requirements for babies and toddlers
• implement a nutrition framework that demonstrates best practice to achieve positive outcomes for children and families

Content

By signing up to the award you will receive access to a nutrition audit tool allowing your setting to showcase how you are achieving standards of nutrition excellence. You will receive tailored feedback and recommendations from a team of expert nutrition professionals.

Judgement

Once you submit your Award it will be assigned to one of our registered nutritionist for review. Your early years setting will need to submit information about your:

• setting and how you’ve used the Early Start Nutrition Awards Bronze and Silver to enhance the health and well-being outcomes of children and their families
• staff’s achievements in completing a range of Early Start Nutrition training modules
• evidence of how staff applied knowledge gained in the training in their day to day practice
• completion of two case studies showcasing your work across two key priority areas 
• current menu and food policy and how children are supported at mealtimes

Award

You will receive a certificate of achievement, a plaque and the Gold award logo to use on your settings publicity. The award will be valid for three years (subject to the completion of a yearly competency review).
