Group Leader Guide – How to use the Group Dashboard and Group Admin functions
Whether you’re booking training for yourself or your team, Early Start Nutrition training has a number of options to meet your requirements.
Let’s take a look at the options available to you.
To view our training, visit our 'Online Courses' page and click on the training course you would like to book, for example Food and Nutrition for Infants.
How to make a Group booking
Once you've clicked on your chosen training/s, you'll see that you've got the option of either an "Individual" or "Group" booking.
Individual: Use this option if you're booking a course for yourself
Group: Use this option if you're booking a course for one or more of your team.
Once you've selected the "Group" option, add the number of staff that you're booking the course for, e.g. '3'.
Now click "Add to cart".
Simple repeat the same process for any other training modules you'd like to book.
Once you're ready, view your cart and follow the checkout instructions.
Assign Training to your Team Members
When you book training for a group, you'll see the "Groups Dashboard" located at the top of the page. This is where you can assign training to your team members.
This is also where you can add additional staff to the training.
Once you've clicked into the "Groups Dashboard", the following options are available to you:
"Edit group details"- for example, update the training group name to include the name of your setting
"Enroll New Users"- add a new group member to allow them to gain access to the training module
"Remove Users"- remove an existing group member’s access to the training module (this can then be reassigned to someone else in your team)
"Enrolled Users"- this highlights the existing group members assigned to the training module.
Update the training group details using the "Edit group details" function
To edit the group details, click the "Edit group details" button.
Update the training module name in the "group name" field, to include your settings name.
Assign a group member to a training module using the "Enroll New User" function
To assign a group member to a training module:
- Click the "Enroll New User" button, which will open a new window
- Enter the first name, last name, email address and organisation of the group member (you can add multiple users by clicking the "Add more users" button).
- Once you’ve added your new group members, click the "Submit" button
- The group member will then receive an email to confirm they have been assignment the training module.
Remove an existing user from a training module using the "Remove Users" function
To remove an existing group member’s access to a training module:
- Click the "Remove User" button
- We'll receive your request and either approve or reject it (within 48 hours)
- If you request a removal in error, please contacts us at: esnutition@earlystartgroup.com
To add additional staff to an existing group:
- Go to "Online Courses" and select the course you'd like to book more places on
- Select the "Group" option and add the number of additional places you'd like.
- Click "I want to increase seats to existing group"
- Add to cart, and complete the checkout process.
Group Leader Functions
Let’s now take a look at the different functions that are available to you as a Group Leader. You’ll be able to:
- Add/remove users to training's
- Track group members training progress
- Send reminders/notifications to your group members
- Manage your group dashboard.
Login
If you're not already, login to access your account. Enter your username (email address) and password and click ‘login’.
When you first login, you'll be re-directed to the "Group Admin" section of the website.
Group Leader Dashboard
The dashboard will show you (under ProPanel Overview):
- "Students" (Group Members)
- "Courses" (Training Modules)
- "Assignments Pending" (Assignments awaiting review by the Nutrition Team)
- "Essays Pending" (KDP’s awaiting review by the Nutrition Team).
Assignments= Pre and Post Assessments
Essays= Knowledge Development Plan (KDP)
To view group members’ progress, use "LearnDash LMS"
Click on the following options:
- "Assignments"
- "Submitted Essays"
- "Group Administration" (this the function we’ll review).
From "Groups" you will be able to:
- "List Users"= highlights the group members assigned to the training module
- "Export Progress"= download a report which outlines group members training progress
- "Export Results"= download a report which outlines group members assessment and KDP results.
Contact Group Member Using the "List Users" Function
If you’d like to send reminders and notifications to your group members, click "List Users" and then the "Email Group" button.
This will open an email template, allowing you to send notifications to ALL of the group members in this training module.
Download a report which outlines group members training progress using the "Export Progress" function
Click "Export Progress" and this will download a "LearnDash report" (a CSV file (Excel)). Click on this file to open it and view the group members’ progress for the selected training module.
The following columns will outline:
- Column B= Name
- Column C= Email
- Column E= Training Module
- Column F= The number of training pages viewed
- Column G= The total number of pages available to view in the training module
- Column H= Highlights if the course has been fully completed by the group member
- Column I= Date the training module was completed
- Column J= The date the group member first accessed the training module
- Column K= The time the group member has spent viewing the training module content
- Column O= The last time the group member logged into this training module.
Download a report which outlines group members training results using the "Export Results" function
Click "Export Results" and this will download a "LearnDash report" (a CSV file (Excel)). Click on this file to open it and view the group members’ results for the selected training module.
The following columns will outline:
- Column B= Name
- Column C= Email
- Column E= Assignments (Pre and Post Assessments) and Essays (Knowledge Development Plan)
- Column K= Assignment score (%) and Essay sign-off (1= signed off and 0= awaiting sign-off)
- Column L= Time spent completed the assignment or essay
- Column M= Highlights if the assignment or essay has been passed by the group member.
