Easter Inspired Activities

Easter is a great time for crafts and being creative! There are a lot of fun activities and games to play too! Here are some of our favourite Easter inspired activities!

Decorate eggs

Once you have boiled your eggs, all you need is a variety of paint colours, fine paint brushes and let your child’s imagination do the rest!  (These can later be used as part of an Easter egg hunt)

Make an Easter basket

Egg boxes make the perfect baskets for collecting Easter eggs!

To turn your egg dox into a basket all you need is green paint, scissors and green A4 sized card or paper.

  • Cut the lid off your egg box, paint the bottom half green and leave to dry.
  • Cut an inch strip, length ways, off of your green card. This will be used as a handle later. (Alternatively you can use a pipe cleaner for handle)
  • With the rest of the green card, cut blades of grass width ways, leaving an inch gap from the bottom.
  • Wrap the grass around the bottom of the egg box, securing with PVA glue.
  • Staple the strip cut earlier to either side creating a handle and you’re done!Home made easter basket activities

Have an Easter egg hunt

  • First decide where the hunt will take place and set boundaries
  • Hide the eggs according to the age group of the children. For older children you can use clues for them to investigate where the eggs have been hidden.
  • Children can use their decorated baskets to collect their haul
  • Eat and enjoy your find!

Card nest eggs

  • Cut around each shape, cast one aside and with the other one cut a jagged edge across the middle, creating a cracked look.
  • Glue round the curved bottom half of the cracked shell, avoiding the jagged edge and stick to the bottom of the whole egg.
  • Create Easter themed paper animal’s e.g. chicks, rabbits or lambs
  • Pop the animal in-between the two egg shells creating a nest!
