Receptionist

Early Start’s Family Contact Centre in E7

Salary starts at £20,007 per annum, pro rata.

We run a busy family contact centre in the London Borough of Newham. The centre is open Monday to Saturday, from 10 to 6pm, and Sunday’s from 10 to 4pm and we are looking to recruit more receptionist staff to join our front of house team.

We are looking for candidates with experience of customer service and with a solution focused approach to their work. We need receptionist who can work as part of a team on a rota pattern with colleagues to cover duties over the opening hours of the centre.

Experience & Skills Required

  • Good written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience of customer service role(s), ideally gained working with children, young people and families
  • Good IT skills and experience of using technology within an office environment for information retrieval, monitoring and reporting
  • An understanding of safeguarding and child development and or willingness to undertake training and develop these skills
  • IT literate

Nursery Nurse (Early Education Practitioner)

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Work for 40 hours a week (8 hours a day)
  • Deliver and review the daily routine as part of a team
  • Plan activities, monitor and track children's progress as a team and as a key person
  • Supervise and prepare snacks and mealtimes
  • Safeguarding

Experience & Skills Required

  • CACHE / NNEB/ NVQ level 2 or above
  • Experience as a practitioner working with children aged 0 to 5 years
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Knowledge and ability to implement the Early Years Foundation Stage

Family Contact Centre Duty Manager

Salary starting from £25,746 pro-rata to hours worked

We run a busy Family Contact Centre in East London. We are looking for  strong, sensitive and focused individuals who are ready to lead and manage a staff team. Your role would be to ensure that our centre meets it purpose of providing a safe space for families that safeguards the welfare of children and young people.

To succeed in this role you will need to be diplomatic and assertive with good  problem-solving, administration and organisation skills

The centre is open 7 days a week and we need individuals who can provide cover on a rota including weekend work.
