Nursery Room Leader (Senior Early Education Practitioner)

£18,000

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Work for 40 hours a week (8 hours a day)
  • Lead a dedicated room to deliver a high quality of care and a positive learning environment (baby room or toddler room)
  • Plan activities, monitor and track children's progress, supporting others to do the same
  • Supervise and prepare snacks and mealtimes
  • Safeguarding
  • Team Work

Experience & Skills Required

  • CACHE / NNEB/ NVQ level 3 or equivalent
  • Experience as a room leader or practitioner working with children aged 0 to 5 years
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage and/or aptitude and willingness to undertake training
  • Knowledge and ability to implement the Early Years Foundation Stage

Family Contact Centre Duty Manager

Salary starting from £25,746 pro-rata to hours worked

We run a busy Family Contact Centre in East London. We are looking for  strong, sensitive and focused individuals who are ready to lead and manage a staff team. Your role would be to ensure that our centre meets it purpose of providing a safe space for families that safeguards the welfare of children and young people.

To succeed in this role you will need to be diplomatic and assertive with good  problem-solving, administration and organisation skills

The centre is open 7 days a week and we need individuals who can provide cover on a rota including weekend work.

Contact Supervisor @ Early Start’s Family Contact Centre in E7

From £10.53 p/h Plus additional holiday allowance

We are looking to recruit contact supervisions to our bank of staff who are looking for flexible working arrangements and hours. The centre is open Monday to Saturday, from 10 to 6pm, and we are looking for staff cover a range of sessions within these times paid on an hourly basis.

The role of a Family/Children’s Contact Centre Supervisor is to observe contact between children and their parents / carers or other family members, some of whom may be in court proceeding or are in the care of the local authority. The role is to ensure that the contact meeting is a safe and positive space for the child to interaction with their parent/carers/family.

The majority of the contacts take place at our contact centre in Forest Gate. Some take place in the community or in family homes. All contacts are risk assessed and staff receive training and support from the on-site co-ordinators/centre manager. This role is ideal for someone who has skills and experience gained from working with children and families and is looking for flexible work to fit around other commitments.

Experience & Skills Required

  • An NVQ level 2/3 in education or social care and or willing to complete in-house training
  • Experience of working with children, young people and families
  • A good understanding of safeguarding and child development and or willingness to undertake training and develop these skills
  • IT literate
  • Good written and verbal communications skills
