The 18th National NMT Nursery Awards 2020 – Nursery Training and Development Award
We are excited to announce that we won the ‘Nursery Training and Development Award (opens in new tab)‘. It’s an honour to receive this award and to know that our training and resources have supported early years settings to put nutrition at the heart of their practice. Now more than ever, it’s vital that children to receive good nutrition, that supports their health, growth, development and learning.
What did the judges say?
The judges chose Early Start Nutrition because the range and depth of training available supports settings to achieve nutrition best practice as part of the ongoing development of children’s health and nutrition.
About the Awards
The National NMT Nursery Awards 2020 is an annual event organised by Nursery Management Today, the leading business publication in the nursery sector and sponsored by key companies providing services in the sector. The Awards are designed to reward excellence in childcare and celebrate the very best people in the Nursery Sector. There were 16 categories to enter overall and there were four or five finalists in each category with two independent judges. 2020 CN Award for Nutrition Resource of the Year
The Early Start Nutrition team are proud to have been recognised with the 2020 CN Award for Nutrition Resource of the Year.* We received the nomination for our pioneering social media approach including on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. The team were praised for developing accessible online nutrition resources for parents (opens in new tab) who were finding it challenging during the pandemic. Our resources helped families and professionals to have access to a range of courses, recipe ideas and lots of free advice on weaning babies, fussy eating strategies and much more.
We received our award at the 2020 CN Virtual Awards Ceremony (very 2020)! We look forward to continuing to provide award wining resources and keeping you up to date with the latest evidence based nutrition guidelines.
What it means to the team
We feel honoured to receive the award which is extra special as the votes have come from the CN Magazine readers. The team work extremely hard to develop resources that have a positive impact on health and well-being and it is fantastic to receive recognition from the CN Team who continually ensure the latest evidence based nutrition information is easily accessible. Working at the heart of communities in East London for over 20 years the priority is to ensure that all children have equal opportunities to receive ample nutrition and recognise the early years as a key time to build foundations that support children to be healthier.
Caroline Walker Trust Awards 2020 – Media Food Campaigner of the Year
We’re extremely honoured to win the CWT Media Campaigner of the Year Award 2020 (opens in new tab)! This year more than ever, it’s been imperative to ensure families are supported with practical, evidence-based guidance and we hope our social media accounts and online resources have been useful and provided a source of positivity at this time. We’re absolutely delighted to receive this award, as The Caroline Walker Trust is held in such high regard and we’re so grateful there is a platform that champions the importance of food and nutrition in improving health outcomes for all. The award has certainly inspired us to continue to use social media as a positive platform to share evidence based nutrition advice with families and professionals. Nursery World Awards 2020 -Individuals Trainer of the Year
We love delivering training and are thrilled to be Highly Commended in the ‘Individuals – Trainer of the Year (opens in new tab)’ category. We fully understand the key role nutrition plays in improving the health and well-being outcomes for children.
